Shaped by the Sea Art & Jules Gallery, Halifax |
I created a mixed media painting influenced by my research of Joaquin Garcia Torres, one of Uruguay's most influential painters, and incorporated found objects that can be viewed as symbols of the past that hold narratives of Nova Scotia which are "shaped by the sea" . I used water based media, paper, silkscreen, block prints and found objects on wood panel. This painting is part of the "Joaquin in his Shoes" exhibit that will be travelling to Uruguay in 2010. |
